Supervisor Mohan will resign within 2 days to 2 weeks. That’s the hot rumor circulating around Amherst’s Town Hall.
Is the pressure getting to be too much for him? Will he succumb to the old adage, “If it’s too hot, get out of the kitchen”? Only time will tell.

I hope this rumor is accurate and when Dr. Mohan steps down I wish him well.
It is my opinion that Dr. Mohan is ready to retire from thr rigors of running this Township. He will do the Town of Amherst a great service by retiring at this time.
The Town Board needs to carefully assess this event and do what is best for the people of Amherst. We need people who will carefully consider what is the best course for all of our people.
Times are tough and many people are struggling to meet the rising costs of most everything. All of us need to work together to get through these economic times. All of us need to do our part…public and private sector employees and retirees want to have a good Amherst quality of life…but one which is affordable and one which will allow our young people to stay in this area - one that will meet the needs of each of us.
