Kuzon Sues Williamsville For Additional Severance Pay

Boy.  Folks can rant and rave about how over paid various public servants are but in my next like I’d like to work for a company that pays, gives benefits, and compensates like Amherst and Williamsville do. 

Last year Sally Kuzon left the employment of the Village of Williamsville because she could not come to an agreement on a new contract.  Finally the Village said the old contract had provisions that were too generous in today’s world.  They could not justify continuing such a generous contract.  When they offered her a revised contract she would not accept it and left.  At the time she informed the board that she expected to receive severance pay because her contract had expired.

Her letter to the board stated that she was entitled to payment equal to one year’s salary ($72,875) “in accordance with the agreement.”

At its first meeting following her departure the Village Board voted 3-2 to pay Kuzon a that amount.  Now she wants MORE!!!
