…about the assessment and their 40% assessment increases.
…about development in their neighborhoods.
…about the rising amount of crime.
…about the growing number of vacant store fronts.
…about the looming multimillion dollar budget budget deficit.
…about the lack of fiscal oversight.
…about runaway overtime costs.
…about their neighborhood streets being turned into vehicle crossroads.
…about congested Transit, Sheridan, Maple Rds and Niagara Falls Blvd.
…about the growing number of U.B. off campus dormitory projects.
…about the destruction of the town’s trees.
…about the sinking homes.
…about suburban sprawl.
…about zoning variances that routinely make general business property out of every property.
…etc.

Yet, so many Amherst residents continually blame the Democrats for problems their vote, contributions, and support have created. Your vote has made it possible for the Republicans and their friends have free reign in this town for over 100 years. Yet, though you complain, you are probably going to vote for the candidates of a Republican Party that has made you angry.

The big question is, WHY? Are you expecting a Republican Town board member to actually be concerned about you.
