Dr. Mohan drew up a budget where the tax rate would be about 1%. He knew full well he left out major projects which must be done in 2009. He also skipped over individuals who must be paid. We will need to raise the tax rate to 4.5 or 5%; then add on your special district tax at 9%. This will be your actual tax rate for 2009.
The Supervisor created a budget so the public wouldn’t blame him for raising taxes. He is nothing if not smart. He will pass the blame to his Comptroller and the Town Board members.

Remember, there wasn’t any new Assessment tax this year. Very few people will pay any Assessment tax.
