Am I The Only One Who Noticed?
Mike Ranzenhjofer, Republican candidate for NYS Senate in the 61st District, is becoming a regular fixture on local TV. He’s got the money for the media buys, and is therefore excused from media scrutiny.Good ol’ Mike is campaigning against inaction in Albany. Nothing gets done. He’s going to go there and get things done. He’s going to fight the do nothing attitude in the state capitol. He’ll bring us jobs. He’ll do what none of his fellow Republicans have been able to do. He be effective, a leader, a fighter.
He’ll do what Mary Lou Rath, the current Republican state senator for 14 years, was unable or unwilling to do…get something done. No sense going through the list of all the previous ineffectve Republican predecessors. All you need to know is that the State Senate has been controlled by Ranzenhofer’s Republican Party for the last 75 years. Electing him won’t correct what amounts to a Republican institutional problem.
Yet, you’d thinking someone would bring it to Ranzenhofer’s attention: “Hey Mike. The problems you address are problems that have not and most likely will not be addressed by your party which has been in the majority for the last 75 years. Why would a voter want to send another Republican to deal with problems caused by other Republicans?
