Amherst Democratic Committee Chooses Dan Ward As Their Candidate

September 8, 2008 10:26 pm

The Amherst Democratic Committee meeting headquarters on Sheridan Drive is one of the best places for a candidate to gain some attention.  The Tonawanda or Kenmore headquarters isn’t the place, nor any other Town or village town hall.

Dennis Ward along with his brother Dan have been the capable leaders of the Amherst Democratic committee for 20 years.  Dennis and his brother Dan formed a strong Amherst Democratic Committee which listened to the problems of the people.

Primary Day is Tuesday, Sept.9th.  The Amherst Democratic Committee chose their favorite son, Amherst resident Dan Ward, to represent them to run for the State Senate seat.

The endorsement by the Amherst Democratic committee choosing Dan Ward as their one and only choice for the State Senate seat angered the two other candidates.

Since neither of the other two candidates lived in Amherst but rather in Kenmore and the Town of Tonawanda, they knew they had to try to fool the people of Amherst into believing that Amherst was their home base. This was one of the reasons Mesi and Ianello sent tons and tons of literature in glorious Technicolor saying nothing the voters hadn’t heard time after time.

If you read any of the flyers which were sent to our homes, the message that came across to the public was that nearly every major politician respects Dan Ward, from his friends for over 20 years like ex-Congressman John LaFalce to Geneses Democratic Country Chairman Chuck Mallow.  They said Dan Ward would make an excellent State Senator.

The list of noted politicians, young and old, who model themselves after Dan Ward is a tribute to this man.

Vote in the Primary.
