Union President Doing The Job For His Workers.

Mr. Nicholas Paolini, President of the CSEA  Amherst Unit Local 815, has contacted Robert McCarthy, Head of the Personnel Department as to how it was that the new Jr. Engineer hired in the Engineering Department was not hired from a list.

Mr. Paolini had the following questions for Mr. McCarthy :

If the new employee was not hired from a list was there a list in existence?

If the employee was hired provisionally, when will she be required to take a test, and score in the top three candidates?

Who interviewed the employee to determine that she met the minimum qualifications listed in the Civil Service Job Description?

Notified shortly after 1PM this afternoon, Republican presidential candidate John McCain was notified that the Russian army had invaded and its navy bombed Georgia.

An agitated McCain vowed to avenge the attack on Atlanta. “My God,” he replied. “I said they’d follow us home. Once again liberal Democrats like Barack Obama have put this nation at risk.”

He later received an urgent phone call his geography advisor, Sen. Joseph Lieberman. Lieberman, who told him that the Georgia in the news report was a country on the Black Sea on the border with Russia. Sen. McCain responded, “I know. I was just fooling around for the campaign.”
