The rumor mills are beginning to churn out who is ahead in the various races and by how many points. This is the time when the pollsters enjoy their most joyous time. They tend to spread baloney and fairy tales about the candidates freely about. These smoothies can make the polls say anything they want without ANY factual proof.
The public is never told what questions were asked; how were they asked; who were asked; whether the polling company is controlled by the political parties; how many people were polled; where they live; or if they even spoke or understood English.
These polls, which pop up in news articles, say who is ahead in a race and by how many points. They often are put in print for a price. The more that is paid, the larger the margin the person is beating their challengers by. There is no proof offered, or if there is it is an illogical joke. What it does is give the owner of the paper or website a bit of additional cash .
The latest poll I read for the ‘366st State Senate Seat’ has these people rated as in 1st, 2nd and 3rd place:
1) Carl Nevertellthetruth
2) Ima Hogg
3) Peter Hustlethepublic
This poll makes as much sense as the ones written for cash. So my public, when you hear or read poll numbers, sit back and decide where you would like to take your wife or girlfriend to dinner.
I plan to take a closer look at Ima Hogg. She seems to have a long history in politics.
