Many Errors Are Found In Accounting Methods
The Town of Amherst, after listening to our outside auditor address our sloppy bookkeeping practices, stated we need an audit committee. Dan Ward has suggested an audit committee many times through the years but our TB never took any action on it, now they will finally have to. Dan Ward is the only Supervisor to have won twice the coveted Government Finance Officer’s Association (GFOA) Award for Budgetary Excellence. He knows a thing or two about fiscal responsibility.
