PoliticsNY.Net: Breaking News First: Erie County Clerk Kathy Hochul informs PoliticsNY.Net that she will not be a candidate for the 26th Congressional District. Erie County Clerk Kathy Hochul says she will continue her duties as County Clerk and not pursue the 26th Congressional seat.

“I truly appreciate the countless individuals from throughout the District and from all political parties who have urged me to run. However, I feel a strong obligation to continue my responsibilities as Erie County Clerk. I made a commitment that I intend to keep.

As I’ve said many times, I love being County Clerk because what we do touches the lives of everyone and I will continue finding ways to expand services while saving money. The people of this County have put their trust in me, and I will not let them down,” concluded Hochul.  ###
