Supervisor Mohan informed me he is in favor of this merger. He feels if this merger is approved the savings will be nowhere near five million dollars but about two million. The two million dollars in savings will come from the laying off nearly 2/3 of our workers at the Amherst Waste Water Treatment Plant and a bit of the savings will come from less paperwork. He said the plant needs only 36 workers to run safely.
