PIGEON POOP

New York, NY: (Dec-26-07) A former New York City doorman, who wishes to remain unnamed, brought a lawsuit against the city, alleging that the city is culpable for the injuries he sustained while on the job. The suit claimed that the doorman was left permanently disabled after falling down some subway stairs. He claimed that he slipped on pigeon droppings, a menace that the city had done nothing about. The city was accused of knowing the potential hazard of the droppings, yet choosing to do nothing about it. As part of a settlement reached, a jury awarded the doorman $6 million. City officials claim that the city plans to appeal.
