SURVEY SHOUTS VOTERS WANT NEW, YOUNGER FACES TO GUIDE AMHERST

An informal survey of people in Amherst malls this past weekend concerning the upcoming election, indicated that “fed up voters” want new facs, not old faces or old politicians.

The results were surprising. Most of the people we interviewed said they planned to vote. They talked about how they were tired of the old faces in Amherst politics. They felt that the high taxes Amherst residents pay is due to the old way of thinking of the past few Town Boards. People felt fresh new faces would bring new and better ideas for Amherst’s future.

Those interviewed stated the time has come to give the younger generation a chance to guide Amherst. Many said they can’t do any worse than the ‘old boys’ who have been running and ruining Amherst.
