The month of August will be the month the Iraq Parliament will not meet because, as our government states, “It’s too dam hot in Iraq.” This will be their vacation time to go to other parts of the world cool off and relax.
Who will be left in Iraq? Could it be our sons and daughters who are serving as soldiers in Iraq? Our American soldiers will be wearing their helmets and uniforms, carrying their weapons and their back packs on those 130 degree days. Isn’t it too hot for them?
What painful thoughts must be in the minds of all the parents and loved ones of these strong, brave soldiers. It must cut deep into the gut of every American who comprehends the irony of how the Iraq government officials can take off August as their vacation month with our government’s permission, while our soldiers must stay on duty. It is an abomination.
Some Iraq officials will bathe in the lush waters of the Pacific while our soldiers may bathe in their own blood over the Iraq vacation month of August.
Our soldiers will remain on duty. Our government must insist the Iraq Parliament work just as hard in August. They must stay in Iraq to help solve the killing problems of their own country.
No vacation in August.
