You know the name, Andolina.  Buffalo Police Officer Carl Andolina and his partner were shot last December while attempting to subdue a suspect.  Early Wednesday morning Andolina and his girlfriend were involved in an accident when an SUV turned in front of his motorcycle.  Both he and his girlfriend were thrown from the motorcycle. 

The motorcycle handlebar pierced Andolina's right thigh and femoral artery.  He has significant damage to the muscle in his right leg.  He has undergone surgery to repair the artery and  stop the bleeding.
